So i picked up a used Sako TRG 42 in 338 Lapua from a fellow hide member back in the beginning os January. Between taking care of a one year old and a new job I started in December I have had no time to get out and shoot anything never mind this new rifle. This rifle is amazing. This was my first go with the 338LM. So we were at the inlaws today and there is a 100yard range down the block so I found an hour to run off and give this beast a whirl.

250 SMK over 85.5 RL 22 Lapua brass I didnt have my chrono with me. It was 22 degrees 37% humididty 892 Alt 28.52 Baro

Bottom left 4 shot group
Center Target cold bore shot and 8round group
This is what I find amazing. I pulled my nightforce off the rifle I traded, torqued it on the TRG and was less than .5 a mill from being sighted in

Cant wait to stretch its legs when I can.

Silverbullet,
I sure do agree. But after having to stare at it sitting there for 2 months with out getting to try it out was killing me so that little 100 yard range, close enough that I could sneack off for an hour or so was AWESOME!

Re: First go 338 Lapua

Yea, not in the shot, but I had my chrono out, and like I said it was the very first time out with it, so I certainy figured atmospheric data should be recorded when I log my zero setting.

Really nice sticks those TRG's are. Nice groups as well. Interesting that your scope was almost zeroed straight up. Both your old rifle and the TRG must have similar build in regards to the action and base screw holes.
