Well, I took her out to the range Saturday! Function was flawless, flinging brass at 4 o'oclock in a neat little pile. I was surprised at how low the recoil was. The ARP MCD did a good job with muzzle jump and felt recoil. It probably also helps that the rifle weighs about 12.5lbs! The only slight downside to the whole trip was the grouping. All I had was 150g UMC I managed to squeeze about a 2-2.5" 5-shot group right at the end, but I think this rifle is going to like pills in the 165-175g range. Overall, I'm pleased as can be with the function of this build. Since the rifle is done, I guess the new project will be finding the right bullet for it! I ordered my dies and some 168 A-Max and 175 SMK. I'll pick up my varget and primers locally until I settle on a load. Here's some pics of the beast and the whole family (6.8s)! The pics are with the "Make Due" optics on it, but I have my new Vortex Viper HS 5-15 mil/ mil on there now.
