Hey guys, building my first rifle have decided on a KRG whiskey 3 as the chassis and going to go with a bartlein barrel. I'm trying to decide what action to use and there are just so many options it is blowing my mind the gun will be used for long range target shooting my question is how do you guys decide which brand to go for I am left handed so that takes a few brands out but still alot left, calibre will short action pretty sure 6.5 creedmoor. Thanks in advance guys and hello from Australia

You can weight features/feel vs. price, or play with a bunch and decide what feels best to you, then save up for it regardless of price, or watch what's consistently popular with others if you can't handle someone else's in person.

They all get the job done and most of what's out there is of high quality, kinda hard to be totally disappointed. I like, and always have liked American Rifle Company and Bighorn actions, but I hear great things about Lone Peak and Impact Precision. Nothing wrong with most of the others, though.

I recently built my first nice rifle after leaving the Savage world.

It’s built with an ARC Nucleus,,I have absolutely no regrets.

That rifle shoots and cycles like a champ.

I’ve also played a bit with a Bighorn TL3 recently and honestly it's a great option as well.

I personally feel the custom actions are totally worth it if they have the features you want.

Personally I would go with a Lone Peak Arms Fuzion, Impact 737R, or a Bighorn Arms TL3 in that order.

All available in Left Hand I believe. FWIW, I wouldn’t buy an action that didn’t have premium pre-fit barrels readily available for it. It’s pretty nice not having to send my action off to have the gun smithing done.
