My brother just made me a knife for my retirement so I thought I'd show it off. Then I decided I might as well show the rest of the knives he's made me as well. He's a journeyman Smith and had been forging blades for a couple of years. They are all excellent cutters and his work keeps improving. The latest is the Last of the Mohicans inspired 7" blade with elk horn handle . Turned out awesome. The bowie has 11" blade and micarta handle. The two small skinners were some of the first he made and one of them is what I carry daily.

Very nice work. I really like the latest one. I am finding my knife prefernces now tend toward shorter and with thicker stock to really take abuse.

I dont know if it says more about me or your brother but.....the Bowie seems to have a penis handle.

The bowie has a dogbone handle

Ill remember that....

"Whats in my pocket you ask? No silly thats a dog bone"

Hey call it what you want it certainly looks ergonomic and its not like we arent familiar with handling our own,

It's an original handle style that was called a dogbone. More of a copy of a Bill Bagwell style dogbone handle. Very comfortable
