I applogize if I'm on crack today, but I shot this guys AI AW this morning and man did it sit solid on my sand bag. Now I was shooting an M1A and there is a huge difference in the two but I swear that that flat bottom stock must have had something to do with it. Both rifles are almost the same weight with scopes. It really seemed like with the M1A my cross hairs were all over the place. One thing I did not look at was what scope he had on it, but power looked about the same as my PMII.

So am I crazy or has anyone else felt this way?

I do have a 700 in a AICS but I have not been able to shoot it because I'm still waiting for a few things. I'm wondering if it will feel as stable.

Theres a reason why benchrest rifles have flat bottom stocks, and you just experianced it! With the front rest they use, and the stocks, its almost cheating
