Actually, according to the report, which lacks any real details, there was nobody around when the shots were fired. It was after hours and no one even heard the shots being fired:

Ledbetter tells the News-Journal that he was the last person to leave the GOP headquarters on Sunday at 4 p.m., while employees at nearby businesses - including an e-cigarette store, a restaurant and a massage parlor had closed by 10 p.m. Nobody heard the shots fired.

They did cover it last night on local Volusia County news, but not in as much detail as they covered the wreck on I-4 that diverted people for hours during morning rush hour. Media knows what most people really care about...
