I'm having a hard time picturing a legitimate crime called "resisting an officer without violence." That just sounds wrong. I get it if an officer approaches and you punch him that is a crime, but to me the officer says stick your thumbs in your nose and you just look at him, that's not a crime. Perhaps you did not understand the order, or perhaps you don't think your thumbs belong in your nose. in either event not a crime.
