Has anyone here experimented with installing flush cup QD sockets in the side of a boltgun stock just forward of the recoil lug and if so, how did it work out for you? I've been thinking about putting a pair of those sockets into my rifle's stock (H-S Precision on a 700P) there since (1) it keeps some commonality between the boltgun and where my AR's forward attach points are and (2) it wouldn't get in the way of my support hand's normal position farther forward on the stock.
