Re: fn slp tactial shotgun

I shoot an FN SLP Mark 1, the 22" version, in 3 gun. To change the stock, remove the buttpad and unscrew the castle nut under it. If you want a standard stock, you could probably trade someone for it, there are guys on brianenos.com modifying 1100 stocks to fit their Mark 1's just to get a pistol grip.

No help on the sights, mine has a different setup.

You might want to take a look at the Mark 1, it sounds like it might be a better fit. I have an 18" 870, the difference in handling is negligible and you get more capacity and a standard stock.

The rear ghost ring is removable via a thumb screw, the front is welded, it would require a good deal of cutting, finishing and the refinishing the metal to remove it. The stock is held on with a single castle nut on the action tube, you can buy the factory pistol grip stock and replace it or adapt the 870 stock like I have read about on other forums.
