Hello all,

Longtime lurker first time poster here. I visit the site quite frequently and enjoy the content! I am primarily a pistol shooter now, and compete is USPSA/Steel Challenge, but my first love is rifles! Did a few years in the Corps, and enjoyed learning marksmanship there. Still have a much much to learn, hence the reason I joined.

Also looking to see if there are any PRS clubs around my area. I know of Palo Alto, and have shot a few high power service rifle matches there, but don't think they do anything PRS related or the like. its all 600 KD shooting.

Anyway, looking forward to posting, see you guys around!

Welcome from Ascension Parish. For PRS you'll have to travel. Up north they have PRS matches at Prince. The guys I know that shoot PRS regularly usually travel to Florida, Georgia, Texas, and Alabama.

I'm a member at Palo Alto so I'm there regularly. I try to make it to the monthly FPR matches. I also occasionally go down to FTS in Cutoff. Range goes out to 950 with steel starting at 200.

Welcome from another new guy from Central Louisiana. If you are intrested in PRS matches there are a few in Leesville La at the white feather range. If you want to look up on Facebook the group that puts them on is West Louisiana Precision Shooters.

The directions given to the range are wrong , he will get lost.

Historically there are only 3 directions in Louisiana.

Up the bayou
Down the bayou
And across the bayou

I beg your pardon! Go to Ville Platte and you’ll see it’s full of coonasses. I grew up there, haha.

yeah Ville Platte is nice, and can confirm legit coonasse's there! I like going to Chicot State Park there, its nice.

My parents’ property butts up to the south side of the park.

Leesville is the closest PRS matches to you. There’s a club in Arnaudville that goes to 300yards and some of the members want to expand it and start holding matches there.
