After a bad ownership start ( Kaboom then back to FN) I am getting to know my FNP45 much better. After a couple range trips and around 450 rounds fired or 14.78 LBS. of lead down the pipe its working quite well.
Other than swapping back straps finding the "right" one the gun is a keeper. I was using a full size black silhouette target and at a range of about 30 feet it had not head or center of chest left over.

I am going with "decent" for trigger pull.

After really getting use to single action triggers like the 1911 and switching back and forth between DA automatics I eventually got rid of all of my DA automatics. Somewhere after that I picked up several Glock's and that trigger is really mot bad once learned.
Enter my FNP45 and I am back to a DA trigger again, go figure.

It took me several boxes of ammo to reacquire or get use to the trigger pull. Its fairly light but different than the 1911 and my Glocks.

Thanks for the feedback. Its a good looking pistol and I like the ambi thumb safety but I am used to the SA 1911 trigger pull. May have to check one of these out

I find the trigger to be excellent for a DA/SA. The double action is very smooth and doesn't load, very consistent. I shoot mine very well, and find it easy to shoot.
Quite a bit cheaper and gives my HK45 a run for its money. FN has a better trigger than the HK.

I bought one when they first came out, and I'll tell ya.. It's a decent trigger, but with a doc optic on it, it's pretty lethal out to 30 yards. Softest shooting 45 I've shot yet.

I should re phrase my response, when I say its "decent" I mean for a DA auto its a very good trigger. I really am use to and have fired more rounds from SA triggers and my Glock's.

That's my personal preference or bias that I like the SA or Glock triggers better. My FNP45 is a very good full size pistol and you could fire it 8 hours a day , every day comfortably.

I wanted a Trijicon dot sight for a while and have backed off that desire lately. Maybe once my night sights die I will consider them. I do not have any problems accuracy wise firing it now sans optics.
