I appreciate a great folding blade here n there like a Hinderer, SpyderCo, and ZT

Does anyone EDC any nonfolders?

A folder is so convenient for keeping in a pocket just in case I need to cut something. Some very short bladed non-folding knives might be usable that way.

I take a non-folding knife with me only when I expect to use a knife for something.

Tried to for a while, it’s pretty hard to do and not look like a weirdo unless you are in the woods, full kit, on your own property, or prior to 1980.

The cool thing is, other knife enthusiasts will spot you from across the road and you’ll have some fun conversations about knives.

Small fixed blades and pocket sheaths work pretty good but then it’s even more trouble than a folder.
