Re: For ex-TRP owners with seller's remorse

I only picked it up on Sunday. Those were the first strings with an unfamiliar beast. I hope to get cozier still.

Hate to burst your bubble, but this is 15 yards two handed rapid fire with a 1916 bone stock Luger. The shots at 10 o'clock were from finding where the thing shot then correcting my hold to get them in the center of the target.

A good ball gun will shoot better than that at 50 yards from a Ranson Rest.

Russ has my old Operator TRP Tactical BTW

It was a hammer.

Threadshitter, it was more to kid the guy that was bemoaning his decision to part with a TRP than it was to proclaim myself the ace #1 pistol shot of the board. I'm well happy with its performance (the x on that target is probably about ¾" across at most, and there are no extra, patched and unexplained holes on it) after having shot it once and think it's probably a notch up from the 5" Kimber CDP that it's most likely going to replace.

Re: For ex-TRP owners with seller's remorse

Handgun shooting is certainly much more tough to master than any other discipline I've tried. I recently acquired a TRP operator myself, and it is much more easy to shoot accurately than any other handgun I own, except my Buckmark, of course.

When did I ever viciously gut-stomp anybody else's thread where there might or might not have been an implied claim of accuracy or proficiency? I think that I do okay for someone who has had cataract surgery in both eyes, who shoots left-handed, since injury and subsequent surgery took three bones and a ligament out of the right wrist, and who does so over, around, and at times through conventional bifocals. But that wasn't really the point.

I have the full length rail TRP OPERATOR, if anyone else does please share what specific holster make and model you used. Also looking for a holster to accept light on the rail if possible. Either way light or no light I need suggestions for the holster you KNOW will work for this gun. Full length rail plz

Since nobody seems to have noticed your question, I'll try and help.

You might want to check out Safariland and Raven Concealment. Safariland's "concealment" holsters are pretty much plain-clothes duty holsters, but they have models that accommodate gun lights. Raven was the only place that seemed capable of taking care of a fit for a TLR-2, so, though I'm not crazy about Kydex, it might be a good place to look.

Wood spider,

I searched for the same thing not too long ago for my operator and came across this thread.

I contacted Wilson combat about their tactical assault holster (full size) and was told it would work with the full rail, though I'm not sure about with the added light. Hope this helps.

I have a ful length rail TRP with a TLR1 on it. I use safariland hlsters. I have one is a HSG drop leg and another set up for a paddle holster. not sure the exact model as I got them a couple of years age. I bought mine from striechers plice supply. they make all the ones for the different lights.

I also have a basic SERPA from blackhawk that works without the light.
