There's something called SealFit that looks interesting. I haven't looked into it too much but I don't get the impression it's as weird as the Project.

It reminds me of the duffelblog article about an NCO arriving at the base one morning to find a couple guys were charging civilians to run the obstacle course.

I have been in a trench putting 4 inch conduits for data and phone from what would be the MDF room in a new school to the phone box, about 450 feet away. We would borrow the 90 lb Ingersol Rand air compressor, tie a plastic grocery bag to some jet line and blow it throw.

Learn some useful trades, BECOME USEFUL, and you will find yourself among other useful types.

Have often wondered about offering a chance to work on the ranch for a week or two at a time. Even have a spare cabin that they could stay in. Would definitely prefer the winter months as there is feeding/haying involved. 33* rain this morning made the mud (it ain't mud) even more fun to slosh around in. Would save all the big fencing projects for them to partake in too.
However, the thought of having to deal with people whining on top of everything is a bit of a put-off.

Not nearly as many as want to just come hunt the ranch for free (unfortunately). I've actually legitimately had conversations like this with my wife. Could stick them on the creek that borders our place and let them kayak and fish a bit (just mind the water moccasins). Maybe even let them go out and blow up some armadillos at night, or a coyote or hog if they are lucky enough. Definitely have the firearms to give some of them some experience with shooting. The only downside to all of that is the necessary insurance.
There are ranches that do that man and people pay a lot. It’s essentially the movie City Slickers but I imagine a lot more crying
Might be worth the whining if you hire a few hands to deal with the customers.

Been there, done that. 8 parallel runs of conduit (2 as a spare) to two runs of switch gear. one at 3k amps and the other at 2k amps for a total on the main building of a new school for 5k amps.
Separate athletic building for 2k amps.
I had to write megaohm logs for the insulation and torque logs for the Sq D rig we built. The nuts and bolts on the splice plates have to be at a certain torque in order to not void the Sq D warranty.
On top of that, my job boss borrowed my Greenlee cable cutters that went up to 750 MCM and then lost them and did not pay one penny toward a replacement. Then, in 2008, when the economy was going to crap and we were outbid by out of state companies, I was literally the first person he laid off from the job.
These guys need to use the internet to find manly things to do. That look appealing to them. Then search out local like minded people who are already doing those things. Find a martial arts gym. Or a rock climbing group.
Motocross or local gun range/club. Go white water rafting. Hit the gym. There are billion dollar industries focused on physical fitness and outdoors. Generally the guys doing those things are happy to share their experiences. I would be willing to PT some of these boys for a much smaller fee.
My kids got some military character building when they were younger. Lessons from boot camp.
They learned how to dig holes and bury their mistakes. I had of one of my kid's dig a nice trench to bury a calculator . He swore up and down he lost at school. He smashed it and was dumb enough to hide in a planter. His Mother found it when she re-planted something else. So, I made him dig a trench and we had a funeral for the calculator.
Made him give a eulogy too.

It's not the "education systems" fault. You are looking at groups of children who have been subject to more and more social engineering with each progressive age group. You are looking at children whos parents are too busy fingering their assholes on what ever fucktard fantasy sport to meaningfully talk or play with their kids. Peopel who are afraid to punish their kids or tell them no. People who would rather placate than wearher tantrum. It goes a lot farther than just the TV and school.

You can “buy in” To ranch ownership in quite a few places. Sort of like timeshare ownership. But you work doing everything. My old chief does that. Some place in Wyoming. He has “shares” and goes out for a week or two at a time and works his ass off every day and comes home.
Loves it. Has his Colt and horse and goes full cowboy. I told him he can do the same here at Schloss Nitrocellulose for free.. but somehow “Wyoming” is better (yeah right.). Then again, he gets profit sharing, meat, wine, etc from his “ranch” share.

Well… he probably did. He probably could if he needed to. Say, moving logs or unsticking a plow. And if he was being chased or chasing someone, probably could “trot” all day and night. Carrying a rifle. Or a shotgun. And then return carrying meat.
The difference is that he didn’t dress up in spandex with “Cinzano” printed on it… have to wear Oakleys in order that his Instagram pic look good while doing it. Or drive 359 miles to get out of a Tesla in order to run a marathon then drive home by way of “carb loading”’at Olive Garden to blog about it from his recliner or at the office cooler.
When he got home from his exercise… there was a wood stove to feed, water to pump, food to process….
