    I bought this a while back and it has been sitting idle ever since. I am the second owner and the original put a tad over 200 rounds through the barrel. Rifle was built by Longshot Rifles. Rifle has some scuff marks on top of the barrel in the bead blast finish, other than that it is in excellent condition. Built on a early A action and the blueing on it is also in super shape. Bolt cycles like butter. Have not hunted in about 3 years and time to let it go. I have not shot the rifle. Stats are below.

    * McMillan Remington hunter, green & black marble, 14 1/2 inch length of pull. Has 1 sling stud on forearm and missing the other in the bottom of the butt.
    * A series Remington short action trued
    * Broughton 5c finished at 22 inches, has a .750 muzzle diameter 8 twist 243
    * HS Precision detachable bottom metal, comes with 1 magazine
    * Very nice pillar bedding job
    * Timney trigger set about 1 1/2 pounds
    * 20moa pic rail, Seekins Precision
    * Custom recoil lug

    Back up for sale. I did not realize that it was not a standard length of pull and buyer needed that length. Change it in ad and it is 14 1/2 inch pull.

    Its a 243 win correct and not 243 Ackley ??
    Barrel is smooth at the end and not threaded ??
    Do you have any evidence, receipts etc. of the action work done by Longshot?
    sorry to trouble you so, but I am a big 243 fan, can't have enough of them!!
    Thanks, Burdog

    It is a 243, not Ackley and the barrel is not threaded. I bought this from the original owner who I have had several transactions through the years on another forum I belong to. Speaking to him on the phone and several fire arm transactions I have no reason to doubt his word on all work that was done to the rifle. I have a shit load of 6 Creedmoor and no 243 ammo. I have been sitting on the rifle for some time and have been debating as at the moment I really do not want to invest in another caliber. If it does not sell I will hold on to it and do a 6.5 Creedmoor as I have a bunch of it also as I had been collecting it for a build I have never got around having done.

    I would take a Bartlein, Brux or Kreiger stainless blank in these calibers in a 4 or 5 contour.

    6mm.....7.5 or 8 twist
    22cal.....8 twist

    Thanks,
    Dan

    Nice rifle Dan....free bump for a great rifle and great guy to buy from!
