For the .270 whores

Re: For the .270 whores

I have a hard time believing those BC numbers, the track record for Matrix is poor with regards to those kind of values.

The 190gr 7mm is supposed to have a BC pushing 0.8 but in reality it's just nipping over 0.7

Still really good, but WAY off base. I'm sure the 175gr VLD in 270 will have a notable increase in BC over the existing "king" that is the 150gr Berger though.

Chad, my guess would be some where aruond 1-7 to 1-9 but not having the length of the bullet it's going to be hard to figure it out. Just a guess at this point

1-7 would let you shoot a 1.64" long bullet
1-8 = 1.44"

Re: For the .270 whores

I talked to Matrix and he said that a 1:8 twist is more than enough for the 175's. He also said that some shooters were using 1:9 twist barrels for the 175's and getting very good results. Give him a call.
