The only promise the Left can deliver on, cradle to grave, is oppression. Eventually, they run out of other people's money to spend. When they do, the smoke and mirrors collapse and civilization crumbles.
Why does everyone with a sob story or who has an idea for some wonderful program have a right to a portion of my paycheck?
They recognize no limits at all to how much of our paychecks they take, the purposes they use it for or the means they use to collect it.
I'm the only one who doesn't have an absolute right to any portion of my pay. To them, my take-home pay is nothing but unrealized revenue.

This is the problem, we are not dealing with mentally abled adults
This is why I say Taxes are nothing more than legalized theft.
Long ago when taxes were first implemented it was not like that. However once they realized what they could get away with, the spending spree started. They will never have enough because they don't understand the value of making people responsible for their own actions. This includes workers being paid from our wallets or the amount of people they pay to be sorry via same.
As I've always said an will say to my grave, when you pay people to be sorry they will never disappoint you. We have 5-7 generations of people that way now. Yet we allow those people to vote the direction of this country after proving they can not control their own lives w/o in essence forcing you to work for them. Just a tad wrong, an out right criminal to me.
A free land my ass,... yes your free in your mind,...but only if you toe the line an keep slaving away for the lazy an ruthless wanting to keep you under their thumb, an only allow you to come up for air just long enough to stay alive.
They suffer from 3 basic fallacies. 1. they are smarter then everyone else. 2. their motives are purer than anyone else. therefore 3. their ideas must be better.
