Forster or Whidden dies?

Looking to buy some new dies to reload 6.5mm Creedmoor ammo. I've read a lot of good reviews for Forster and Whidden dies. I'd like to get the micrometer seater and the full length sizer. Anyone out there have experience with both brands? Forster doesn't produce the Creedmoor dies as of yet but I was told by the company that they hope to have these in a few months. I have no problem waiting if they would be the better choice. Thanks in advance for any info and advice offered.

I think the Whidden is a higher quality than the Forster dies are but the Forster are still extremely good dies. Most of my dies are Forster and I have a couple Whidden sets in the mix also.

I don't have experience with both, but I went with Whidden for .308. VERY nice people.

I went with the Whidden die because like my rifle chamber they were both developed with the standard PTG 6.5 CM reamer.

Owning both, I definitely don't think you can go wrong with either one. As diver noted above, the Whidden are physically lighter, I think they are CNC'd aluminum, but it definitely doesn't have the same heavy solid feel of the Forster, but by no means does that mean less precise. I do like the hash marks being a bit larger and more visible on the Whiddens. There is also a difference in the mechanics of the seating stem, I'll see if I can grab a pic of the two when I get home (very difficult to explain in just words). I have thousands of rounds thru my Forsters, and don't think the Whiddens would have improved the accuracy of those rounds. I don't think you can go wrong with either one, but for whatever reason I tend to like my Whiddens a bit more.

Whiddens are great dies, foresters are really good dies

They both produce quality ammo. The Whidden dies are just a little more refined and machined cleaner.

Just got a set of Whidden dies. They are very nice! They come with a bump gauge adapter for dial calipers also. Hard to go wrong with either....
