My wife loves bookstores and over Christmas break followed her into a bookstore in Santa Fe. Pretty eclectic place with both new and used books many just stacked in piles. I happened upon this by chance. First printing from 1943 and in very good condition. As a kid I probably watched the movie half a dozen times. Halfway through it at this point.

Favorite read all through elementary school( along with 30 seconds over Tokyo), many book reports, in 4,5th and 6th grades. Now days I would have been flagged as a racist, militant, extremist. I bet this book is not even available any longer in elementary school libraries. Great find!

If the old lady likes bookstores, and you ever get to Charlottesville Virginia, try Daedalus Books just off the downtown mall. Sandy has books on top of books on top of books.

Yeah, I think that book has been replace by drag queen make-up tutorials. Since when have we let guys in dresses who like lots of sodomy be in charge?
