Can anyone tell me if the Lawton Repeater ( 700 clone ) short actions use the Remington scope base pattern or do they have a proprietary base setup? Standard 6 x 40 or are the threaded 8 x 40

Couldnt find it on their website but I am assuming that they accept the standard bases but want to verify.

Re: Lawton action owners...I have a quick question

I have one in the shop right now. It has 8/40 screws and while the spacing might be the same, the rear action bridge is round just like the front of the action, unlike how the Remington sits lower than the front. I hope this helps.
