FPS on 20" x 308 barrel

I trying to get an idea of the muzzle velocity range for 20" barrels for 308win at close to max pressure. 2500-2600? 2600-2700? 2700-2800?

I want to figure out a good bullet for my savage 11 (short action) with a 20" barrel that has a 10" twist. Im looking for something with low BC and little over spin over stable. Like everyone else I just want a nice flat shooter and I want a good bullet to start playing with. I'm guessing I'll need something exceeding 200gr but I don't know all factors yet. I also dont know if im going to run into overall length issues with feeding.

pushing the 178 amax @2607fps-2641fps out of my 20in savage
with
44gr of varget
CCI primers
Federal Brass

did run the 208 amax with 41gr of varget for awhile and did well,but never ran them threw a chronograph

SO you didn't have any OAL problems with the 208gr. Thats good to know. SO Im guessing Im going to be right at or under 2600fps for 200gr+.

The 208 A-max length is listed as 1.532. So If I stay under that I should be GTG.

Also, I think I probable posted this in the wrong forum. I'd like to say thanks to the peeps here for not flaming me. I think I'll like it here.
