I picked up a Spanish FR8 rifle recently. Great shape, almost new barrel. My question would be, should I send the bolt away and have it bent or keep it stock (kind of) with the straight bolt?

I would leave it as is since the FR8 is a collectors rifle and it can fetch a good price if the market is right. Also, no matter what you do to the action, it will never make it cycle any better. It's kind of like shifting a non synchro transmission, you just have to feel your way through it. ;)

If you will ever sell it, leave it as is however if you are going to keep it do as you like. I had an FR8 that had the bolt bent and it was nicer to cycle than the straight bolt Spanish M43
