I lived there for six months. Foreigners, even Americans, get treated like shit. The old folks remembered what we did. I had one particularly gruesome specimen named Valerie try to tell me everything that was wrong with the US on a long car ride in from the airport. I put up with it for so long, and then I informed her that my great uncle had died fighting outside Nancy in '44, that my family owed France nothing, and that without men like my great uncle we would have been speaking German instead of French. Isn't Cracker Barrel the place that has or had some different types of vegetable dips and sold a really light and airy crack that was approximately the size of a Marlboro 100 box, but of course not as thick?
