Today in a financial move, the Freedom Group, Inc, will now be known as Remington Outdoor Company, Inc. to facilitate the buy back of possible minority hostile shareholder interests. California Teachers Union only holds a few percent & wrecks havoc in the board room. This high finance buyout should put the enthusiasts back on track. Taking the Freedom Group "private" will prevent the likes of anti-gun politics prompted John MacIntosh, formerly a partner with a global private equity firm, to write a mean-spirited op-ed for CNN after the Sandy Hook shooting. MacIntosh called for then New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, billionaire George Soros and others to pay “whatever it takes to acquire control of the Freedom Group” and then, if a “moral turnaround” of the gun companies wasn’t feasible, to commit “corporate euthanasia” of Remington, Marlin, Bushmaster and more.
