The ocular lens had long rubber wing that has been trimmed off for fast deployment(has to fold the wing to view every time take off from the lens cap), the rubber eyepiece still block side light very well, just like most other binos( without the wing) on the market. When i ordered this set of 10x44, the retailer shipped it with a Steiner XP wildlife 8x44 outer box. I never bothered to shipped the out box back for exchange for a 10x44 box. These Steiner XP 10x44 comes with Steiner transferable life time warranty. Both objective and ocular lens are clean and clear, the focus is smooth. The image is sharp and very bright( thanks for the 44mm objective lens and larger ocular lens).
