May I ask a stupid question? Does the cap for the objective lens “screw in” to the lens casing so it does not add to the circumference? (I have only a very small gap from the barrel with the rings I am using...)

Even if it screws on, the cap will hang down slightly below the bottom of the bell. I have one on a K318i that screws in, but the cap was touching the barrel. Adjusted it so it opens sideways and it works perfect.
