So I went to the range with my glock 17 gen 4. I recently watched a video about "pinning the trigger" which I am guilty of. So as per the video I loaded one into the chamber and removed the magazine and fired. Trying to reset the trigger during recoil. I did this a few times and got a few FTE's. It looked like they were trying to fall of of the magwell but got caught by the slide.

Is this me limp wristing or what? Thanks in advance!

Well, the magazine has nothing to do with extraction and ejection so my best guess is that your attempt to reset the trigger during recoil is indeed hampering the function of the pistol...................similar in effect to limp wristing. The spent case appearing to exit the slide by falling through the magwell (if I understand correctly) is just a symptom of poor/weak ejection.

It's normal in a Glock. The top round in the magazine (or the follower if there's no top round) keeps the extracting case in position. Taking the mag out of the gun generally results in rounds extracting and dribbling out through the magazine well. As for them actually getting caught by the slide, that's not something I've seen. Is the ammo unusually weak?
