When using a balistics program should I use the G5 or the G7 for 123gr and 140gr Amax's.

All rifles with boat tail bullets should use G7.

The G7 drag profile is the best way to go IF you have accurate inputs, meaning a solid BC. Knights Armament Bullet Flight has a data base of projectiles with Bryan Litz's experimental BC's. If you'd like more projectiles, buy his book Applied Ballistics for Long Range Shooting.

You can't use the G7 drag profile without a G7 BC.
