I just brought a slightly used gap-10 with a little over 300 rounds down the pipe . It has a thread protecter on it and I'm kinda stuck on which one to buy ? I don't want to lose any accuracy, I was thinking the surefire mb762-211c or the acc that looks like that, I can't remember the part #. Any advice and pictures would be greatly appreciated .

Re: GAP-10 muzzle breaks

I just went back and forth with Ken a couple weeks ago, because I wanted a flash hider for hunting and we couldn't find one that would work. The problem is the barrel is fat and there are only a few brakes that will look decent and not leave an exposed lip. I ended up going with the Badger Thruster Brake instead of a thread protector, the other option is to have GAP turn the barrel down and install a Surefire Brake. The Surefire brakes are nice (I've used them on a .223), I just didn't want to permanently modify my rifle for one.

Re: GAP-10 muzzle breaks

I have a GAP Titan brake on mine and it works pretty well. I am sure they could screw it on for you pretty easy.

Don't you have the AWB in NY? Whichever one you get make sure they permanently attach it. I know in CT with our AWB we can't have threaded barrels on our semis.
