I currently have GAP-10 and have been using the Alamo Four Star DCLW Tripod with the clamp type rest. My question is has anybody tried to mount a section of rail towards the rear portion of the forearm or used the rail section on the front to mount to the rail adapter for this Tri-pod?

It will mount on the front section just fine. The question is if your tripod has the capacity to hold it like that.
If you are running a light duty ball-head it will balance better attached at the rear of the handguard.
If you have the tripod already, just try it out.

I dont have that head yet I want to know if it will work I have the cradle mount now. And since that rail section is all the way to the front of the forarm will that be too much pressure on the end of the gun?
