Getting ready to Duracoat a recent build. Am trying to decide if I should paint the fluting black if I have GAP camo stock paint or should I just leave them OD.
I think rifles look better with a solid color barreled action, but it is in the eye of the beholder.
If you want to make your rifle look custom, do it. The first answer in the thread usually determines all subsequent answer. It is your rifle, make it look how you want.
Not quite sure if this is what your looking for..I did my flutes in flat black and then coated the entire barrel in matte clear.Everything else is matte black metal wise..It's hard to see in the photo..It took a few times out but it's starting to grow on me a little..I'm still not to sure about it?? This is a .458 Win Mag..
I noticed there were no flutes, I just wanted to use the jethro tull bit, Damn Ive been saving that one for a while. Back to the drawing board or the throne, thaaats where my best thoughts reeeally come out.
I have that same stock. I was going to do it in the normal black but just tonight I was looking at it thinking how it would look green. Thanks for posting that picture.
I say give'er on the highlighted flutes, people wont care how bad your target is, they will be too busy looking at your awesome rifle.lol Now back to listening to Stormy Monday.
