So I've got a buddy who got a new gap. I've already got a good shooter but....... Being the "friend" he is he wants me to get a gap as well. Not being one to back down from a new toy and seeing as how i've always wanted one. figured might as well. I've got a robar custom but have been looking at the hospitaller. i have done the search thing, just want some info and thoughts from those that have one. Good, bad or otherwise. anything better? also thought about surgeon rifles as i live in ok. any thoughts. thanks

Re: gap hospitaller

I have over 2000 rounds on mine. It is a hammer. I basically only shoot 600 and 1000 yrd with it. I have cleaned it 4 times.
I am happy with the rifle. The manners stock is great, but I am not a butt hook fan.

had a hospitaler for a long while-fantastic gun. gaps are amazing-if that stock is the one you want, then the hospitaler is a great choice-you can order caliber you want, action is great, nice rifle!

Re: gap hospitaller

I shoot .308 scenar 155's at 2950. If I do a good job loading the ammo, it will hold 3/4 minute elevation all day at 1K. 1/2 moa at 600. I know the gun is still better than me. The barrel does not foul. I just get worried about carbon buildup after 500 or so rounds and give it a good scrub with IOSSO. My last clean cold bore shot was in the 10 at 1K. I checked my 200 yrd zero today and put 5 in a 3/4" paster dot. I am about 200 rounds since last cleaning.

Re: gap hospitaller

I also own a Hospitaller, little under 2000 rounds through it. Have never shot anything like it. On target, wind hold and break off the shot and it goes where you want it 100% of the time.

If you can do it 100% of the time.......................
