Gunsmithing Gas Block Role Pins

If you are looking at the muzzle from which side do you install roll pins into a gas block on a AR-15 barrel.

Are you talking about the roll pin the holds the gas tube into the block? It doesn't matter which it side starts from. It's a roll pin! If you are talking about pinning the block to the barrel you wouldn't use a roll pin. You would use a tapered pin.

The gas tube roll pin goes either way. A taper pin USUALLY goes in from the right, the ejection port side.

It's pretty easy. Load the rifle and place it on your bench. Pull the trigger, observe which direction the brass flies, and drive the pin out in that direction.
