Interesting Calc. from what I've seen the Tesla Model S seems to be the best compromise between capability and CPM.

The ratings are off. My MB #320 CDI (diesel) gets around 42 hiway/27 city. For a heavy, safe car that handles really well and stops on a dime thats pretty good. The new blutec's do even better.
