So I have had several of these in the past and always loved them. Just put one in a new target/varmint rifle that does not feel the same. I ordered it from Brownell's. The packaging is labeled SSA-E but the springs look to be a different color than I recall ... one silver and one black. The pull feels like a long (smooth) single stage as there is no discernible increase in resistance prior to the trigger breaking. Did I get the wrong parts? Anyone else have this issue? I know it is not what I was expecting and not even as nice as the SSA in my LMT. Going to call Brownell's in the AM ... just wondering if anyone else has experiences similar issues.

    Re: Geissele SSA-E ... ???

I have very limited experience with the SSA-E. I did have a chance to compare them side by side once and I was really impressed with the SSA-E. I recall it being lighter than the SSA for sure.

Hope you get your problem solved! Let us know what Brownell's or Geissele have to say.

There's something wrong, there is a definite 2nd stage on the SSA-E. I'm not home to look at the springs in mine.

I would maybe call Geissele, they're very helpful and probably easier to contact by phone than Brownell's at present.

Sounds a lot like the Geissele 3 gun triggers. They have a kind of rolling single stage feel to them. Also ship with the two springs you mentioned. One is a heavier spring that increases the trigger weight for use if the gun/operator starts to double. The trigger reset is amazingly short.

I have both the 3 gun and enhanced triggers installed in my rifles. The enhanced has a distinct 2nd stage. There's no question.

Geissele has excellent customer service. I'd contact them directly.

This was my thought. Sounds like you might have one of the 3 gun triggers.
