What's the concensus on the Geissele Optics mounts? I'm gonna be mounting a 5-25x56 ATACR in it. I've already bought one, but kind of wished I would have bought Spuhr based on all its praise. Return to zero is important as I will be swapping the scope with a thermal on occasion.

I have 6 of the one piece 7075 Geissele mounts. Haven't tried the 2099 yet. All have been perfect. Fit and finish are fantastic. I prefer running the S&B, CQBSS, and MK6 34mm mounts over the generic line of "AR15/AR10 mounts. Everything I have are all 34mm mounts. I do torque the mounts to the rail at 55 ft.lbs. And they return to zero flawlessly. I witness mark the ones on my KAC SR25's and they still shoot dead center even without having a torque wrench on hand. I prefer these Geissele mounts on all my gas guns and typically stick to standard rings (seekins) on my bolt rifles. What are you putting it on? These Geissele's dont have much choice in height, 1.54 I believe, and your stuck with 0moa on the SOCOM mounts or you can get the 20moa on the "standard" ones.

The SOCOM mounts are made to that specific specs for the optic they are listed for. It is just another "approved" piece of kit they can run on their weapons. The CQBSS mount has more room inbetween the rings then others. So if you have a USO optic or something that needs more space, the CQBSS one is a better choice. The MK6 one works well also for one of my TT's and a MK6 I have on gas guns. The only difference are the dimensions in cantilever and ring spacing. Some are in between the standard and extended specs of the AR10 mounts. Just gives you more options.
