I haven't been on here in awhile (medical reasons). I am building a replica Prop for a client. I know what should mount on an 80's era M40, however they insist on the Scope on LJ Gibb's M40 season 10 Season of the snake. Does anyone in this group have any Idea what Optic is mounted on Gibb's Rifle in this episode. I cannot match the design to the video optic (Through the scope view). With anything I can find in my books. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Most of the time, those reticles are put in post production and frequently have nothing to do with actual reticles.
The best example of this is the first Sniper movie with Tom Berenger. Later movies, they actually did a good job of matching reticles to the scopes they were using.

This scope?

Potential alternate view with what looks like a turret logo visible.

The budget must have dropped severly at that point. The scope in Trigger Monkey's post looks very chinesium with some copying USO turret positioning. That's even a detachable mag 700 which would wouldn't have been correct either. Looks like he was supposed to have shot McGee with that rifle. That's what his customer wanted to commemorate?
