As I remember it, John Amos (founder AFLAC) tried to have an exotic wild game hunting operation near Pine Mountain, GA but it didn't work out. He had imported a bunch of classic Russian/European boars and they ultimately escaped or were simply released and were causing major damage to farming in the area. A few sows and I think one board had been killed but we were the first to catch a boar with dogs and bring out alive. Lots of locals came by late into the night/next day to see. He was later bred to sows from south GA before anyone knew any better. I was just a kid at the time, along for the adventure.
