The German language is a gutter and litteral expression of negativity/anger even when being nice and thinking nice.. German is just German, and like it or not we are more of a German influenced country than any other nationality or tribe.

Schadenfreude -

pleasure derived by someone from another person's misfortune.

"a business that thrives on schadenfreude"

Angst

a feeling of deep anxiety or dread, typically an unfocused one about the human condition or the state of the world in general.
"adolescent angst"

What's "litteral"? Did you mean "literal," or perhaps "littoral"? With "gutter," are you implying that German is vulgar? Or are you searching for "guttural," an assertion with which I would concur. German, although harsh-sounding, is perfectly capable of communicating the most profoundly lofty ideas. I suggest that you ground yourself in the works of Rainer Maria Rilke to develop a greater appreciation for the language as a means of written expression. Perhaps our colleague @TheGerman could point you towards a comparative German-English edition of his works.

AJ - I'm a German Italian U.S. citizen....what's your linage? My grandmother was from Texas, and my grandfather and grandmother was from the Black Forest in Germany.

No doubt...that's a helluva combination . Don't you agree?

I have German and Dutch ancestry on my mom's side. With that heritage, you'd think I would be a natural at the language. To say I struggled would be an understatement. To my ear, it always sounded like someone clearing their throat. Still enjoyed my time over there.

I have north Jersey and central jersey on my whole families history,,, before that they were living in hell until they escaped, so I am a Jersey American by blood if I was forced to hyphenate. never forget we are all here because our families before time started were starving or slaves or both until they escaped here. fuch our ancestral heritage, only the USA matters, therefore I am an American 100%.

No hyphens on my part. lol I'm very proud of the fact that my ancestors came here with little more than the shirts on their backs and made a go of it. They assimilated, sacrificed, and succeeded.

as someone who lived overseas and spent a good portion of my life travelling all over the world, 3.5 million air miles, I can Honestly say, Fuck the world., fuck them all, the only people I want to be letting in my country right now are smoking hot chicks, I dont want refuse from socialist paradises, with all my heart I say FTW.
