Giraud Tri Way Cutter Chamfer Question

So I bought a Giraud tri way cutter and it works great. I am wondering if its working too well. Allow me to explain. The trim to length is perfect as delivered, right at 2.008". What concerns me is the amount of chamfer the cutter puts on the inside of the case mouth. The outside deburr is what I would consider normal. This thing removes a lot of brass! Just trimming 100 cases there is a small pile of brass shavings that I empty out. Far more than I ever created with my lyman hand trimmer and Wilson bevel and deburrer tool. Is it possible the tool is chamfering too much ? Am I holding the brass in the tool too long? Also just to be sure, do I need to Chamfer and Debur if the brass doesnt need trimmed? I would think not but I am far from a reloading expert.

The length of time that you keep it in the trimmer won't change the angle of the chamfer as the toolhead takes care of everything at once really.

if it's trimming them all to the length that you desire then you are good to go. Don't worry about the chamfer if you aren't shaving bullets. Deburring is obvious so no need to discuss that part.

The simplicity with trimming other than making sure they don't exceed the chamber length is consistency (by way of consistient neck tension). If they are trimming to the same length then you are good.

Typically if they don't need trimmed then they won't hit the cutter in order to get chamfered/deburred (which is fine - it's only really necessary when they are trimmed, but can be helpful all the time if you feel like it). Just do it before neck-sizing of course.
