Gunsmithing Glass bedding

So I’ve recently glass bedded my tikka and had used shoe polish as my release agent. It worked great but now I’m wondering what to use to get the polish off. Not sure if my Hopes bore cleaner would do the trick or if it would react somehow with the wax. Thanks guys!

I like to use a paper towel...

Like spike said just use a paper towel, I usually just use a cloth.
No need to over think it the tedious part is done now enjoy it.

Denatured alcohol, naphtha, turpentine, mineral spirits.

Why bother, what's the first thing you should do if you strip the wax and any oil that may have been on the receiver to begin with ?
Reapply the preservative layer you just stripped off.

WD-40 works for me. Isopropyl alcohol does too, but I wipe down with WD-40 after. I use a too brush and WD-40 to get the bulk of it off.
