The state of the state.. really, the government, the military and police, is laughable. Ok, the police have done nothing, in fact, they've assisted the insurgency here, the military is suspect and the government frozen.

IN this clip, soldiers refuse to act like soldiers, and one of them gets shot because of it.

We've all been going through months of inaction by the police/government/armed forces to enforce the laws and protect the citizens of Thailand.

watch the clip and give me your assessment.

What's the big beef over there Bat Shit? I know they have had problems in the south with the religion of peace and the backlash against the prosecution of the pervert/child molestor industry there.

I've been more focused on all the occidental wheels falling off and have neglected the entropy extant in the orient. What is it you do there and do you have to kill me if you tell me?

Re: glimpse of action here in Thailand

The deposed fugitive ex-PM is in a bid to take control of the country. He is funding a large insurrection masked as a "peaceful political protest"

The timing of these events coincided with a large portion of his seized assets being transferred to the state, upcoming military reshuffle of senior officers, and finally the declining health of the 83 year old Monarch HM the King.

2 days ago a renegade army general was shot in the head by a sniper in central Bangkok. The army did not claim responsibility. A theory is this shooting was in retaliation for the shooting of two other army officers on April 10 in Bangkok clashes between protesters and troops.

Are you talking about this guy ? Thaksin

Re: glimpse of action here in Thailand

Greg I don't know how you'd consider talking about current events and military operations trolling. I haven't insulted, or stirred, or made reference to a single member, or opinion of anyone on this forum.

I have reported facts as they occur on the ground. And explained the motivations behind the parties involved.

Trolls live under bridges, and only know about the tiny little corner of the world that their tiny little brains can comprehend--often the confines of their own chairs in front of their computers.

Yes the deposed PM is Thaksin.

Re: glimpse of action here in Thailand

This is a firearms forum, not a pulpit for the exposition of political injustice, either domestic or abroad. Your sole topic since your appearance so far has been about political unrest someplace that has no bearing on the Second Amendment, which is the only topic permitted for political discussion on this site, as you should know since it was a part of the terms you agreed to when you registered at this site, and the cautionary posts which appear at the head or each forum.

Find another topic please.

No being a hardass, just offering advice I had to learn myself here the hard way.

Re: glimpse of action here in Thailand

Look I understand how politics is a taboo subject on internet forums.

Seeing as how the situation here is being greatly affected by the actions of snipers..I figured a forum with the name sniper in it, might be someplace to talk about what snipers are doing today, here, there or anywhere.

If your stance is that you can post 20000 times on a forum called snipers hide, and instead of talking about .. snipiing, you discuss the guns, gear, and ballistics employed by "snipers" -- without ever even nodding to events involving "snipers" then I guess we're just going to have to disagree.

I didn't even come close to using this firearms forum as a pulpit to discuss politics.

If you weren't interested in the topic, then just don't read it, or respond to it. It will scroll on down the page and disappear into cyberspace.

which is what I'll let it do now. Thats all I've got to say on the topic, clearly this is the wrong place for it.. No problem, no worries mate.

Excuse my un-political correctness....

With the devastation from Iowa to Tenn. due to recent storms and rain and what is happening in the Gulf and the repercussions it will bring to the Eastern Seaboard...
Is there a reason we care what is happening in Thailand?

It's called the WORLD WIDE web for a reason.

Re: glimpse of action here in Thailand

No Jasonk, you're wrong.

It's called the InterWeb. My neighbor knows a guy who voted for the guy who made it.

Aye, but most of us do not reside in the United States of the World. Aside from the sex trade, Thailand impacts us through what, ceramics, memory chips, and some low-end and pcb boards? Not too big a deal to most of us in the USA.

This isn't about disagreeing on whether or not your posts are sniper related. It is about whether or not you are following the rules of the house. This is a privately operated forum and as such LL is the sole decision maker as to the appropriateness of your posts.

So not to dash your obvious esteem of your opinions, what you think doesn't mean jack shit. Read the forum rules. They are black and white.
