Suppressors Glock 31 - Gen 4 or just get a Gen 3?

I've been toying around with getting another .357sig pistol. Currently I have an HK USP Compact in 357sig.

I picked up a new Glock book that highlights the Gen4. I really can't find too much in improvement over Gen 3 Glocks, so hoping someone can enlighten me here.

I like how you can adjust the contour of the grip by sliding those back things into it like a MIAD grip.

I'm kinda disappointed that the Gen4 has been out for a while and it doesn't seem that LaserMax is making Gen4-compatible guide rod lasers yet.

What do you guys think? Gen4 and hope to eventually get a Guide rod laser, or just get a Gen3?

I think the 357 line of Glocks would benefit the most from the new double recoil spring.

I think this would take some frame wear off the gun. I have been looking at getting a Gen4 357 Glock, just don't know which size yet.

I love the Gen4's I have, all in 9mm.

I love my gen4 g17. It feels more refined then the gen 3 imo. I think they could have done a better job designing the rear grip panel inserts since they look like a bit hokey. I dont have any extra panel on mine so its a non issue

I would agree. I've got a Gen4 G23 and so far I like it over the Gen3 models. Without a grip panel it is just a hair smaller then the Gen3, I like the ability to switch the mag release to the right side as well.

I had my G17 customized and was so happy with it and the way it fit my hand and shot naturally that my G31 is in now having the same thing done to it. The G31 will remain black and not get the front cocking serrations. It should be done soon. I will post pics when I get it back.

I Love the Mag release, and the shorter reach for the trigger. As far as recoil etc... who knows, I don't notice much of a difference, but for the textureing the mag release, and new spring i think it's worth the extra couple of bucks.
