Personally I think Trump wears his battles on his chest like medals. Sort of his bonafides to the people. He is doing it to bring immigration to the forefront. He knows it will force the Dems hand. They fix it great a win. If they fail to do so he will bludgeon them with it in 2020.

What you are thinking is "old guard" tactics. Trumps Tactics use a different philosophy, while they bludgeon him with lies He bludgeons them with Truth. He does not run from himself, he lays it all out there.
