I Da ho
Is anybody into precious metals besides lead?

I have some old silver coins but have been thinking of building a gold and silver stash.

For those in the know what and where is the best place to go about this?

If you weigh out the factors in a civil unrest I believe lead would be more precious than gold or silver.

You'll find there is often a big difference between the cost of "Paper" silver and actual physical silver.
Gold not so much.

For example, just as a rough reference, go here:

On the front page they have the spot price

Then go here to look at the physical buy prices:

Please note that right now you probably won't see a real price online for a lot of dealers and will actually need to call to get the actual daily price.

Also note delivery times, lots of places will have up to 3 or 4 weeks for delivery.

If you know a local trustworthy seller, it's often nice to get used to buying from them.

If you shop around on a few sites, you'll get an idea of the average markup and cost for physical stuff.
