Talk to a firearms engraver..preferably one that hand engraves. They have to make undercuts to inlay the metal. Price depends on who's doing the work and type of metal (such as 14k, 18k, 24k etc).

I've seen metallic epoxy sticks that contain gold (probably mixed mostly with brass) and silver that you rub into engraved areas. But they don't look as professional as authentic gold/silver/platinum inlays.
