i was wondering if there is a good gun smith around me (in Connecticut) that can rebarrel a rifle for me any ideas?

They both know how to cut beautiful thread in SS.
I'd skip the CT Smiths. Cheap has proven too expensive for me in CT. For the amount you spend driving to a shop you are willing to take a chance with in CT, You could have shipped via Fed-Ex to one of the shops I've listed.
A lot of Hide Sponsors have well earned reputations. Stick with a sponsor of this site and I bet you'll be happy. Their reputation depends on it.
