Look back through several months in the "Beyond 1000 yards" section. There are some good 300WM threads there. </div></div>
Running some numbers on JBM, I think I really want to work up some loads with the 208 a-max... trouble is that I have about 350-400 220gr SMKs in a bulk box in the garage! LOL
The good news is that they're shooting GREAT! haha
No worries though, I won't have any trouble getting rid of them. </div></div>
If you have a load that you know shoots in your rifle, I wouldn't necessarily sell them.
A good proof load is really nice to have around for those days when your rifle won't shoot and you think you've lost your mind. It's really nice to be able to go back to something you know works.
I have the same issue with 200g SMK's. Shoot a ragged hole and are sub 1/2 moa for a LOOONG way. Trouble is the 208's DESTROY them at LR. So I keep the SMK's around for practice and proofing.
Just a thought.

Well, it's a good thought. I'm going to shoot every one of them, I believe but, I'm also going to get some of the 208s and shoot some of those and see how that goes.
I'm anxious to shoot a bit this weekend and get some 1000yd dope on the load I have worked up. I know "about" where it's at but, I need exact elevations.
If weather works better, I'm going out to a friend's deer lease, we can set up steel as far as we want. If it does what it's likely to do, I'll try to at least get some time at the 1000yd line at tac pro. I'll bring a box of skeet and see how it works out.
