I was introduced to this site from a member who sold me a GAP Gladius. It is the most informative site out there and I am on daily...mainly looking to learn from you all. I grew up hunting ducks and doves in Central California and hunt pheasants in S Dakota but have become more interested in precision rifles mainly due to this site. I currently own a couple ARs (now featureless to be compliant) and have been at the range with an old Winchester Model 70 .244 with a Unertyl scope. After I earn the respect from members and post more entries, I will also be looking to sell my Gewehr G43AC44 8 mil...as I do not shoot it and need to make room in the safe for the GAP Gladius.

In the Republic of California...you sadly must register all AR’s as assault weapons this year unless you make stock unadjustable, change hand grip to appear more like a rifle, as well as change out flash hider to a muzzle brake. By making it featureless, I am not required by state law to register it by year-end. The only good is I can reinstall a regular mag release and not have to use a “bullet button release” Also trying to load up on ammo, because after Jan 1....no more bulk shipments allowed. Just may be required to move to another state after I retire in a couple years.

Ah, thanks River, didn't realize that was currently required but it doesn't surprise me. What a pain. I suppose in a few years everyone will need some kind of a permit there just to breath the air. I left there in 1978 and have never looked back.......
