Good ole boy oil clean up

Re: Good ole boy oil clean up

On the contrary there has already been a drive to donate hair clippings for use as an absorbant in the Gulf. I don't remember the figures exactly but I think something like 40,000 lbs of hair was already donated for the cause by the time I heard about it. Hair for free versus hay for money..although I say the more help the better.

Where's Vince when you need him?... Oh yeah, he's in jail. Bah!

Re: Good ole boy oil clean up

Hair clippings from most of the US would work. NJ would have to be exempt, because of the Guido factor.

Hay would probably work, but then what are you going to feed the livestock? Folks around here are already feeding hay now, because of the regional drought.

So then I'll form a committee, and petition the government for a grant of 38 million dollars. Then when we are funded, we can "investigate" the effectiveness, and initiate a "plausibility study". The findings of said consortium would then be released to contributing parties.

Such parties would be those who continue to contribute to my range-building initiative.

The one surrounded by hay-fields which would need to be harvested to keep on hand. It's for our children.

Re: Good ole boy oil clean up

i got some reports from some of our technicians on the spill that hay is already being used. haven't heard any results. the media only reports a small fraction of whats actually going on down there. keep in mind bad news keeps viewers coming back

Finally a use for these dread-lock sporting fools, we don't even have to bother chopping the hair off, just throw the whole fucker in the ocean. Cleans up the ocean and society, its a win win.

I hereby nominate "Shot In the Dark" for President (of the local gun-club, so as to not make this into a political post)!!!!!

You are overlooking potential toxins in the bodies. It's about cradle to grave costs. Does the resin in the lungs outweigh the petrocarbons already floating on the water? I just don't know. OTOH, fish zealous with the munchies just might feed man or two with otherwise empty hulls.
